Today, hardware acceleration supports capturing ultra-high definition images at 60 frames per second, such as the 4K and HDR standards, but in fact it can capture 4K-quality slow motion. Technically, if the camera hardware can keep up, the processor can even support capturing 16 million-pixel still images at 60 frames per second. But if you need to be slower, the Snapdragon 845 can also capture and generate 720P video at ultra-low 480 frames per second. Improvements in the 845 processor and graphics processing capabilities mean more flexibility for VR applications. The Snapdragon 845 itself supports the room mode VR technology. Like the HoloLens, it can move around the virtual boundary of a simulated room. It does not simply move and look around in any space.

With the new X20 modem, the Snapdragon 845 is able to deliver 20% more peaks than before and an average LTE speed of up to 1.2 GB/s, which can download a 3GB movie in 3 minutes. Qualcomm said that Wi-Fi performance has improved, especially in response to crowded networks.

But the most practical improvement should be Bluetooth headsets. In general, Bluetooth audio needs to send signals from one side of the headset and then pass the information to another earbud.
