HR1124S/HR1154D is a single-channel H-bridge driver chip used in DC motor solutions. The H-bridge driving part of HR1124S/HR1154D uses low on-resistance PMOS and NMOS power tubes. Low on-resistance ensures low power loss of the chip, making the chip work safely for a longer time. In addition, HR1124S/HR1154D has low standby current and low quiescent operating current. These properties enable HR1124S/HR1154D to be easily used in toy solutions.
HR1124S/HR1154D has internal over-temperature shutdown protection. When the load motor is low impedance, or the output terminal is short-circuited, the output current of the HR1124S/HR1154D is enabled to rise sharply, and the internal temperature also rises sharply. When the chip temperature exceeds the maximum temperature threshold (typically 150°C), HR1124S/HR1154D will shut down all outputs to prevent potential safety hazards. Only when it is confirmed that the chip returns to a safe operating temperature, the built-in temperature hysteresis current re-controls the drive circuit.
