Transformer classification and structure

1. Types (1) Transformers used for power transmission and distribution are power transformers, such as step-up transformers and step-down transformers; there are also transformers for other purposes, such as rectifier transformers, voltage transformers, current transformers, autotransformers transformer.
(2) According to the number of AC phases, there are single-phase transformers and three-phase transformers.

(3) Classification according to the number of windings The number of windings of each phase of the Shenzhen servo transformer can be different, which is for the transformer to convert a variety of voltage levels.
1) Double-winding transformer, it can only convert the power supply voltage into one voltage level, or there are two voltage levels of AC voltage involved in the transformation and mutual connection, both single-phase transformers and three-phase transformers have this form;
2) Three-winding transformer, it can convert the power supply voltage into two voltage levels, or AC voltage with three voltage levels participates in the transformation and interconnection; it can connect three different voltage grids.

The capacity and voltage level of transformers designed and manufactured for different purposes are very different, the capacity is from several volts to thousands of volts, and the voltage is from several volts to thousands of volts.

2. Structure (1) Iron core: It is the magnetic circuit of the transformer, which is divided into two parts: the core column and the iron yoke.

(2) Winding: It is the circuit part of the transformer. The winding connected to the AC power supply is called the primary winding or primary winding, referred to as the primary side; the winding connected to the load is called the secondary winding or secondary winding, referred to as the secondary side.
5 Transformer windings

The core and windings are immersed in a tank filled with transformer oil.
(3) Transformer oil: used for insulation and heat dissipation.
(4) Oil tank: Under normal circumstances, it can bear the weight of iron core, winding and transformer oil and the pressure on the tank wall. There are flat oil pipes for cooling outside the tank wall; for transformers with large capacity, there are some cooling components such as fans outside the tank.
(5) Insulation sleeve: Insulate the live lead wire from the fuel tank and fix it. The structural size of the insulating bushing is related to the voltage level. The size of the insulating bushing with a high voltage level is larger, and vice versa.
