The Wuxi County Jingzhuba hydropower station self-contained area was officially transferred to the National Grid on July 22 and merged into the 10 kV Ninghe line, which marked the official history of the “small hydropower supply area”.

Wuxi is located in the northeastern Jiangxi Province and is extremely rich in water resources. The Daning River and other 12 river basins have an area of ​​more than 100 square kilometers, an average annual runoff of 3.66 billion cubic meters, and a theoretical reserve of hydropower resources of 462,000 kilowatts.

Since the 1970s and 1980s, the county has seen the development of small hydropower development. In total, 108 small hydropower stations have been constructed, forming large and small "small hydropower supply areas." Due to the lack of stable investment in power grid maintenance, these small hydropower projects have resulted in obsolete power equipment, poor power supply capacity, and low reliability, and there are certain security risks. In 2004, Wuxi local power grid was merged into the national grid, and the "small-scale self-supply area for small hydropower" was gradually incorporated into the large power grid.

Jingzhuba Small Hydropower Self-Supplying Area covers an area of ​​1.4 square kilometers and administers 3 administrative communities of White Deer, Sandalwood, Jiuying, Xiangshu and Jiuying. The minimum altitude is 800 meters and nearly 2000 people. Due to historical reasons, for a long time, the distribution network has been operated and managed by private small hydropower plants and it has become the last small hydropower supply area in the county. After several rounds of negotiations, the self-supply area of ​​the Jingzhuba Hydropower Station was officially transferred to the State Grid and merged into the 10 kV Ninghe Line.
