The US Army has ordered the suspension of all Chinese companies' DJI-produced drones and accused them of "cybersecurity vulnerabilities." The equipment that was discontinued includes all UAVs and equipment produced by Dajiang using its systems and components. It requires that “Army departments must remove all (Dajiang) batteries, storage equipment and safety equipmentâ€.
Of the kind of off-the-shelf equipment used by the US Army, the UAV is the most widely used. Dajiang accounts for about 70% of the global commercial and consumer drone market, and the market, including the military, will have a market value of more than $100 billion over the next five years.
