Chongqing will have 15 electric car charging stations put into operation

The reporter learned from Chongqing Electric Power Company that during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, Chongqing will put into operation 15 large and medium-sized electric vehicle charging stations and 1,000 charging piles.

According to reports, the current domestic electric vehicle industry is in its infancy and technical problems such as battery life are gradually being solved. In particular, local automobile manufacturers in Chongqing are actively participating in the development of the electric vehicle industry. Changan, Lifan, Hengtong and other automobile manufacturers have all launched pure electric vehicle products and hybrid vehicle products. In addition, Chongqing is cultivating an upstream manufacturer chain. Lithium battery production plants have been established in Shuangqiao District and Fuling District. The production capacity of lithium iron batteries for electric vehicles will gradually be established.

Some experts predict that within 3-5 years, Chongqing's electric vehicles and upstream industries will have a certain amount of production capacity. To this end, Chongqing City needs supporting the construction of corresponding electric vehicle charging facilities.

At present, Chongqing has built a medium-sized electric vehicle charging station and 50 charging piles. According to the plans of the city power company, by 2015, the city power company will invest 390 million yuan to invest 15 electric vehicle large and medium-sized charging stations and 1,000 charging piles in the main city and Wanzhou District to build a certain scale of electric vehicle charging points. Among them, Chongqing will build and operate 2 charging stations and 100 charging piles this year.

According to the plan, each large electric vehicle charging station will occupy an area of ​​2,166 square meters, including two large DC chargers, eight medium chargers, and 10 AC charging piles, which can provide services for 10 buses at the same time. The medium-sized charging station needs about 1,000 square meters, and the small-sized charging station needs about 100 square meters.
