Although it is a common temperature measurement and protection element for a special motor for hydraulic oil pumps, it is still difficult to make a clear statement. Thermocouple temperature measurement must be composed of thermocouples, connecting wires and display instruments. It is often used as a temperature measurement element for high-voltage motor sliding bearings; the temperature sensor for motor insulation paint drying equipment is usually a thermocouple. Thermal resistance is the use of metal conductors or semiconductors, when there is a temperature change, the resistance itself also changes. The thermistor is a temperature-sensitive element, and small temperature changes will show a proportional and large resistance change.
Thermal Resistance Compared to Thermocouples:
At the same temperature, the output signal is large and easy to measure;
(1) The resistance must be measured with the aid of an external power supply;
(2) The temperature of the thermal resistance part is larger, and the working end of the thermocouple is a very small solder joint, so the response temperature of the thermal resistance is slower than that of the thermocouple.
(3) The thermal resistance of the same type of material is not as high as the upper limit of the thermocouple temperature measurement.
Thermistor:
Thermistor is based on the temperature, its own resistance value changes. It is mainly used in the temperature sensor above, for example, electronic thermometers, motor temperature sensors. Thermistors include positive temperature coefficient (PTC) and negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors. The main characteristics of the thermistor are:
(1) high sensitivity, the temperature coefficient of resistance is 10 to 100 times greater than the metal;
(2) Wide operating temperature range, room temperature device is suitable for -55 °C ~ 315 °C, high temperature device temperature is higher than 315 °C (currently up to 2000 °C) low temperature device is suitable for -273 °C ~ 55 °C;
Small in size, it can measure the temperature of voids, cavities, and blood vessels in the body that other thermometers cannot measure;
(3)Easy to use, the resistance value can be arbitrarily chosen between 0.1~100kΩ;
(4) Easily processed into complex shapes, can be mass-produced;
(5) Good stability and strong overload capacity. Since the semiconductor thermistor has unique properties, it can be used not only as a measuring element (such as measuring temperature, flow rate, liquid level, etc.) but also as a control element (such as Thermal switches, current limiters, and circuit compensation components.
