This complete solution meets the HomeKit specification and simplifies the development of networked home products enabled for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and speeds time to market.
The new SDK, combined with the nRF51 Series Bluetooth Smart SoC, provides developers with a unique solution for HomeKit products that meets all size, power and performance requirements. This highly optimized solution enables a single-chip solution that runs HomeKit Accessory Protocol (HAP) and application firmware on the same chip, and is designed for low power consumption. It is a battery-powered HomeKit product such as a door lock and thermostat. The ideal solution. With the nRF51 SDK for HomeKit, Nordic is expanding its range of nRF51 Series Bluetooth Smart SoCs into next-generation connected home products.
