The LTC3829 is a high performance, three phase, single output, synchronous step-down DC/DC switching controller for driving all N-channel synchronous power MOSFET stages. A constant frequency current mode architecture provides a phase lockable frequency of up to 770kHz. By operating the three controller output stages out of phase, power loss and noise due to the ESR of the input capacitor are minimized.

The LTC3829 is configurable for 6-phase operation with DCR temperature compensation and output foldback current limiting. The device features a precision 0.6V reference and a power good indicator.

Optimize efficiency at light loads by choosing to use output progressive decrement or burst mode operation. At the point of load, a differential amplifier provides true output voltage remote sampling.

The LTC3829 is available in a low profile 38-lead 5mm x 7mm QFN package and a bare pad FE package.
