RichTek Technology has introduced the innovative design of the tandem white LED driver - RT9285. The RT9285 provides a simple pulse dimming technology. The system only needs to provide wide and narrow digital pulses, ie Output brightness adjustment can be easily achieved. It also integrates a Schottky diode (Diode) into the circuit, resulting in fewer system components, and RF interference is more simplified in the overall circuit and software design, while providing excellent performance without dimming electromagnetic interference. White LED backlight drive and OLED power supply for portable electronic products The current LCD backlight of portable electronic products is mainly white LED. The brightness of white LED is proportional to the current. RT-9285 provides serial connection. The LED architecture can provide up to five white LEDs in series with the required voltage, and can be connected in series with a resistor to set the maximum LED current. The function can cover all the small-size LCD screen backlights and ensure the uniformity of LED brightness. For backlighting requirements of different brightness levels, the RT-9285 provides pulse dimming technology that simplifies circuit design and provides no dimming EMI. In addition to providing white LED drive current, the RT-9285 can also be used as an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) power supply. With the resistor divider setting, the RT-9285 can provide a constant voltage output as an OLED power supply. The RT-9285's conversion efficiency can reach up to 85%, reducing current consumption and extending battery life. The built-in Schottky diode reduces the components and complexity required for the system. The built-in Soft start function reduces Inrush current, overvoltage protection (OVP) and overcurrent protection (OCP) to determine that the system is operating under normal conditions.
