Foreword

What we want to share today is Final audio's new headset F7200. In late July, he participated in a new product experience event organized by Final audio in Guangzhou. During the event, a new line of "F" was exhibited: F7200, F4100, F3100.

The F7200, which is the earliest earphone in this series, is quite slim and uses a full-frequency moving iron unit weighing only 23 grams.

product description

The F7200 is a single-acting iron earphone with a stainless steel housing. The diameter of the housing is only 5.5mm and the total weight is only 23g. The MMCX plug connection is used between the earphone unit and the earphone cable. The material of the wire base is oxygen-free copper-plated silver and the cable length is 1.2 meters. In order to better match the market with some players with 2.5mm balanced output, F7200 is also equipped with 2.5mm balance line. The wire feels soft, fine workmanship, moderate hardness and elasticity, easy to store and carry.

Wear feelings

Similar to the classic earphone ER4B from Etymotic, the F7200 is also worn in-line and deep into the ear canal. the difference is,

The ER4B has an elongate catheter. When it is worn, only the catheter can be inserted into the ear canal while the cavity is left outside. The F7200 does not have this section of catheter. The earmuff is directly wrapped around the earphone shell. When you insert the ear canal, it is equivalent to inserting part of the earphone cavity into the ear canal. As a result, the sound unit will be closer to your tympanic membrane.

This direct insertion of the cavity into the ear canal earphones, at present, only the "F" series of Final audio is this design. The user chooses a silicone sleeve that is suitable for their ear canal size is the key, because the size of the earmuff is related to the tightness of the earphone after wearing, which directly affects the sound insulation effect.

Due to the good soundproofness of the enclosure, a stethoscope effect will result when worn. The transparent soft ear hooks in the attached items can be used by friends who are used to wearing earphones around their ears. Wear around the ear can help reduce the stethoscope effect.

Listening experience

Because of the depth of the ear canal, the noise is very good, and the background of the sound is more transparent than the ear headphones. Several models of moving iron headphones that were touched in the past have generally had good midrange frequencies. For example, the previous Shure E4C, SE315, UE super fi 3S, peak power pfe112, etc., are mid-frequency density, texture products.

The F7200 IF (especially vocal) performance of this audition is also worth noting. The use of silver-plated oxygen-free copper wire, stainless steel shell, coupled with exquisite workmanship, so that this Japanese single-action iron headphones in the same architecture products, the price has reached a certain height.

Next, simply share the listening experience of the F7200 with the new high-end brand Astell & Kern's AK70.

Headphones: F7200 (Final audio)

Music: <Impression> Xu Meijing's "All Night Return" Shanghua Records TW

<Want to be alone> Zhou Huajian's "Little Paradise" Rock Records TW

<Monthly girl and> Jacky Cheung "Private Corner" Shanghua Records HK

The first song, Xu Mei Jing's old song, was confused. The vocals were not overtly. In the second paragraph, Drum and Bass showed less sense of quantity, slightly stiffer drums, and bass. The intensity is slightly weaker. Although the space created by music is not small, there is not enough sense of depth. Probably this is also a shortcoming of a moving iron.

The second piece of music is one of the works in Zhou Huajian's "Little Paradise" that is relatively simple. The soundtrack is very simple and there is only one piano for accompaniment. The beginning of the piano solo has a good texture. The vocal image is in front of the piano. The vocal + piano creates a simple, tranquil and soothing atmosphere. The texture of a male voice is not worse than that of a female voice. With moderate thickness, the details of the vocalization can be clearly outlined, and the delicate parts such as breathing and rotation can be restored. Bass is also less powerful, especially in terms of strength. The sound field is not large, but it is still quite transparent.

The third music shared is a jazz style piece. With this combination, the sense of music is not strong, and the sound modification is not exaggerated. The mid-range vocals and instruments have a good sense of density and a clear degree of separation. But like Jacky this male voice, this combination, in the sense of hearing, a little less thickness. Bass has speed, a sense of volume is not heavy, strong, texture, but the dive and strength sense are general. A piece of music that needs to have enough thickness and sense of sound to express the ambience is used to deduce it. It sounds a little thin.

to sum up

Through the audition of the above three music, the F7200 has a delicate and refreshing sense of hearing on this system. The degree of separation of the instrument is good, the vocal thickness and distance are moderate, the density is sufficient, the mouth shape is not large, and it is transparent and slightly stained. The graininess is subtle and the outline is clear. Although the taste of some moving iron headphones can still be felt, the vocal sound of the F7200 will be smoother than some of the American brands' single-acting iron headphones, and the Japanese headphones will be delicately hidden in the sound. Run and with a little modification style.

Throughout the listening process, the bass part is relatively weak in the three bands, and the amount of sense is not much, the intensity is slightly owed, and the dive is not so much moving or shocking, and the drum sound is a little hard. This is a common problem with a moving iron headset.

The sound field is slightly horizontal and the depth can't be pulled open. The sense of hierarchy and sense of space are not worth mentioning. After all, popular recordings, the advantages and disadvantages will not be too obvious.

See here, some friends will ask, in the end how this headphone sound? Is it worth buying?

Here are 12 points to score, summing up some of my feelings about this headset (out of 100 points)

Sound: 75 (Frequency midrange, fine, delicate, good detail reduction, high-frequency transparency, bass dive, strength are average. But for single-moving iron, this sound can be understood. Of course, this score is based on what I have heard. All headphones to evaluate comprehensively)

For sound, the following subdivision evaluation (out of 100 points)

As a Japanese high-end headphone brand, Final audio's products have always been loved by fans. Their "Champaign" series was once famous for the year. The F series launched this time is actually designed and built from the aspects of portability and comfort. Using a single-action iron unit, through the unique audio tuning of Final audio, the price is considered to be a relatively close family.

For the friend who likes this brand, but also listens to popular vocal music, pays attention to product design, craftsmanship, workmanship, quality, portability, comfort, sound insulation, F7200 is worth considering. Of course, if you are pursuing the ultimate sound quality experience, you can choose to position the higher "night pot" series, or other brand high-end products with the same price.
