6. Read the fault code and clear the fault code

The fault code for the Coster bus is indicated by the "Overspeed Disconnect" (O/DOFF) indicator. The overspeed disconnect indicator is located at the bottom right of the instrument panel and has two purposes: 1 When the ignition switch is turned on (0N), if the overdrive (O/D) switch on the shift lever is placed in the off position, the indicator light It will be continuously lit, indicating that the transmission is not in overdrive. 2 If the overspeed (0/D) switch is turned on, the indicator light should not be lit. When the variable speed electronic control system is faulty, the indicator light will be on and the code is stored in the computer.

To read the fault code, follow these steps:
(1) The ignition switch is in the ON position.
(2) Overspeed disconnect (O/DOFF) switch in the ON block
(3) Connect the TT of the fault check connector to the El terminal with a jumper.
(4) Read the fault code according to the number of times the (O/DOFF) indicator flashes. If there are multiple fault codes, the code with the largest number will be displayed in order from the code with the smallest number.
The fault code is represented by the pulse voltage (lights off and around) (0/DOFF) indicator flashes once for 0.5S, 0.25S bright, 0.25S dark, and continuous display means no fault.
If there is a fault, the light is on 0.5S, dark 0.5S, the number on the 10 digits is flashed first, and the digit on the digit is displayed after 1.5S. The code is repeated after 4.5S pause. The automatic transmission fault code is shown in Figure 10.

Clear the fault code: After the repair and troubleshooting, the fault code stored in the computer should be cleared, otherwise it will be mixed with the newly generated fault code, causing trouble for future work. The method of clearing the fault code is: (1) Remove the DOME (car light, luggage compartment lighting) fuse (10A) from the fuse box for more than 10 seconds. The time of removal is shorter depending on the atmospheric temperature, and the temperature is lower. The longer the fuse should be removed, and the ignition switch is now in the OFF position. (2) It is also possible to remove the negative ground wire of the battery, but this will remove the contents of other memories (such as the sound system). (3) After eliminating the fault code, perform a road test to check whether the over-speed disconnect (O/DOFF) indicator is in a normal state.
