The United States Vishay Technology has launched LED "VLMK82**" with a size of 3.4mm × 3.3mm × 0.75mm, orange color, and yellow LED "VLMY82..." (published in English). The optical power is up to 14,000 mcd and the thermal resistance is 20K/W. Mainly used for window display, signage, and dashboard backlights, brake lights and turn signals.
The maximum drive current of the two LEDs is 400mA. At a drive current of 400 mA, the forward voltage is 2.5 V. The emission wavelength of VLMK82** is 612 nm to 624 nm. The optical power is 7100mcd to 14,000mcd, and the luminous flux is standard 28,000mlm. The VLMY82** has an emission wavelength of 583 nm to 595 nm. The optical power is 5600mcd to 120,000 1200mcd, and the luminous flux is standard 26,000mlm. At a drive current of 100 mA, the luminous efficiency of both LEDs is 40 lm/W. The LED chip using AlInGaP technology is packaged. The half intensity angle of the emitted light is 60°. The product life is 50,000 hours. The ESD (electrostatic discharge) withstand voltage is based on the JEDEC "JESD22-A114-B" standard of the United States, with a maximum of 2kV.
The surface package is made of ceramic package "CLCC-2". It is now available in volume production. The lead time for bulk purchase is 8 weeks.
