The national power grid Chongqing Nan'an Power Supply Company promoted distribution network automation construction in an orderly manner. As of July 4th, the installation of a main station and 65 distribution automation terminals was completed, 140 km of optical fiber was cast, and online real-time monitoring of distribution network dispatch was gradually realized. Improve the level of lean management of distribution network and reduce the number and time of users' power outages.

Prior to the implementation of automation of distribution network deployment, the deployment of distribution networks was “blind adjustment”. Since the operation of the equipment was not visible, a large amount of manpower and material resources should be put into and out of the site each year during summer peak hours, and the repair rate of distribution failures was high. It will take a long time to repair and miss out.

Nan'an Power Supply Company is determined to step out of the "strange circle" of relying on human resources. It started to build distribution network automation in January 2011 and has successively established an organizational structure to carry out project feasibility studies, determine the construction ideas, functional requirements, and implementation scope. The preliminary design was completed in 2012. Work, through the on-site inspection master 47 open and close, 1 power distribution room, 114 ring counters, 3 on-column switches and other basic conditions, after repeated review and verification, identified the construction objectives and technical solutions. In early 2013, the company once again analyzed the failure rate of the distribution network, the repair time, the number of households that planned for power outages, and the status of low-voltage special management, and then fully implemented the distribution network automation construction.

In the current period, distribution automation will cover 16.4 square kilometers in the core area of ​​Nanping Nan'an District, and will be implemented in phases. The interconnection of the EMS, PMS, GIS, and power user information collection systems will be implemented through the information exchange bus to meet the 10-50 requirement. 10,000 points of real-time data access automation systems, real-time monitoring of the status of ring network cabinet, opening and closing equipment and other equipment to improve the efficiency of troubleshooting, and ultimately improve the quality of service capabilities.
