I have heard the NE5539 op amp's extraordinary electrical performance indicators, but will the gain-bandwidth product of up to 1200MHz make it difficult to overcome in audio applications? Unable to bear the temptation of its Class A output with a quiescent current of up to 14mA, a conversion rate of 600V / μs, and a current noise of 4nV, a 10-fold preamplifier was trial-produced, and the result was very satisfactory. Compared with the use of AD847, the noise is significantly reduced, the high frequency is more slender, the intermediate frequency is more exquisite, and the low-frequency image formation and control are improved. The current prices of the two ICs are comparable, but the fakes of NE5539 may not yet appear.
The pin arrangement of NE5539N is relatively rare, see Figure 1, so it is determined by its high performance. Therefore, when designing printed circuit board drawings, the design principles of high-frequency circuits must be followed. The design principle is: 1? Surround the ground with a large area (specially pay attention to the 7 pin of the IC as the ground terminal). For this purpose, a double-sided copper-clad board is used, and the component surface is covered with "ground". In the case of amateur production, by drilling and threading at an appropriate position, the ground is welded to the printed surface. 2? The negative feedback resistor should be close to the negative input. 3? Use low internal resistance power supply. To simplify production, LM317 and LM337 are used. It should be pointed out that the supply voltage of this IC should not exceed ± 12V, here ± 9 ~ 10V is used. In addition, the capacity of the filter capacitor after voltage regulation should not be large, here 22μF. 4? In order to give full play to its dynamic range, add an appropriate RC series loop close to the IC power pin, see Figure 2. 5? To ensure low noise, the negative input terminal resistance to ground should be small enough, here 100Ω. 6? After testing, the frequency compensation terminals of 5 and {11} need to be combined with a capacitor of about 100pF. 7? Because the input offset voltage of this IC is large, 2 ~ 5mV, it is impossible to cancel the DC blocking capacitor.
The author envisages that the use of NE5539 to promote high-fT high-power tubes to form an electronic crossover class A tweeter power amplifier will definitely have a good performance. If you want to increase the power output, you should add a voltage drive stage powered by a high voltage.
