The new entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro from Eskimo is currently on sale, and Other World Computing immediately began dismantling it.
During this dismantling, OWC discovered that this MacBook Pro has the following noteworthy areas:
Solid state disk module is detachable
The bottom plate is more difficult to remove than previous generation models, but it is not glued on
To replace the SSD, you need to remove the speaker module
There is a sticky adhesive tape on the interface of the SSD
Whether or not you press the power button, the machine will automatically start up when it is turned on
The processor model is Intel's sixth-generation Skylake i5-6360U
Memory is DDR3, and models with Touch Bar use DDR4 memory
The keystrokes seem to be slightly deeper than the MacBook
SSDs use NVMe drives and Apple designed controllers
Since the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar won't be available until mid-November, we can't compare the internals of the two devices at the moment. However, it can be expected that due to the existence of the new function of Touch Bar, the internal structure of the former will certainly be different.
