So if we take a polarizing plate and look at the light source, it will feel like wearing sunglasses, and the light becomes darker. But if two polarizers are stacked together, it will be different. When you rotate the relative angle of two polarizers, you will find that the brightness of the light will become darker and darker as the relative angle is different. When the fence angles of the two polarizers are perpendicular to each other, the light cannot pass at all. The liquid crystal display is completed by using this feature. The polarizing plates between the upper and lower fences are perpendicular to each other, filled with liquid crystal, and then the electric field is used to control the rotation of the liquid crystal to change the direction of light travel. In this way, different electric field sizes, It will form different gray scale brightness.
